The Game Itself

Shuffleboard is a sport for everyone, young and old
It requires no great physical strength yet it is a game of skill and strategy. It is played in a spirit of fellowship that lies somewhere between the pleasures found in a friendly game of pickle ball and the intense concentration and companionship of a golfing foursome.

It is a sociable game but required a players’ attention to strategy.

Alberta Shuffleboard Clubs Annual Review 2021

There are three large shuffleboard clubs that operate in Alberta during the summer months: Alberta Canadian Shuffleboard Association based in Innisfail, Foothills Shuffleboard Association in High River and Greater Edmonton Shuffleboard Association in Edmonton. There are also smaller clubs like the Cochrane Shuffleboard Club and, coming in 2021, the Medicine Hat Floor Shuffleboard Association. The Evansburg Shuffleboard Club operates year round.
